Since 1978, Clint Miller Exterminating Company has proudly offered pest control services to residents of North Carolina’s Cabarrus, Stanly, Rowan, Montgomery and Mecklenburg counties. Our technicians are trained to get rid of a variety of pests, including common culprits such as spiders, ants and termites. Sharing a home or other building with these creatures can be annoying and even dangerous.

Spiders

SpiderNorth Carolina is home to numerous spider species, and the venomous black widow and brown recluse species are especially dangerous. Black widow bites are typically not painful at first, but they can eventually lead to nausea, elevated blood pressure, pain and other symptoms. Brown recluse bites often result in blistering and severe necrosis around the bite area.

Ants

Ants may not seem particularly dangerous, but their tendency to crawl on bacteria-infested surfaces makes them a significant sanitation hazard. Like most Southerners, North Carolinians also have to content with the venomous and highly aggressive red imported fire ant. These ants have a high reproductive rate, and their population continues to expand throughout the state.

Termites

Termites may look roughly similar to ants, but these insects cause their own unique set of problems for home and business owners. Termites feed on an organic compound called cellulose that gives trees and other plants their rigid structure. When termites remove the cellulose from wooden building materials, they leave the wood hollow and unstable.
