Treatment Options

Treating Flea Infestations

Depending on where you’re seeing the fleas or where your pets hang out, we can treat both inside and outside your home. Inside, we target carpets, rugs, baseboards, under furniture, and pet resting areas, the places where flea eggs and larvae concentrate. Outside, we treat shaded areas, under decks and porches, and around foundations to stop fleas from reinfesting your home from the yard.

To prep the house for treatment:

  • Vacuum floors, furniture, baseboards, and carpets. The vibration triggers dormant fleas to hatch, exposing them to the treatment.
  • Immediately place the contents in a garbage bag and take it outside. A piece of a flea collar can be used in the vacuum to kill any fleas you suck up.
  • Remove all items off floors and carpets, from under beds and furniture, and in closets.
  • Wash pet bedding and blankets in hot water.
  • Cover aquariums, turn off pumps, and remove all pets from inside the home while the treatment is happening.

Fleas will hide in bedding and sheets, so wash them regularly in hot water to wash away any stray hiders.
